Turkey Calls Emergency OIC Meeting over Jerusalem

Turkey's President has called for an emergency summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to discuss cutting diplomatic ties with Israel by all members of the 57-member-state global entity, calling the US announcement to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel a "red line" for Muslims worldwide and warning of a "ring of fire" in reaction to the status issue.

EU Official Threatens Rules for Online "Extremism"

At this week's EU Internet Forum, European Commissioner for Security Julian King announced that, while they have made some progress in removing "extremist content," the EU will subject internet platforms such as Facebook and Twitter to regulations next year if they do not delete such content at a quick enough speed to satisfy the Commission.
