    The Executive leadership of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation met in extraordinary session in Saudi Arabia about recent violence at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, and in a long communique,  identified the final status of Jerusalem as a red line for the 57 member-states of the OIC and Muslims worldwide, and called on international organizations to condemn Israeli security forces for recent violence at the contested sure, which includes both the Islamic Al-Aqaa Mosque and the Jewish Temple Mount.

    The Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) successfully mobilized inside the United Nations to lead a UN General Assembly (UNGA) resolution to establish March 15 as International Day to Combat Islamophobia, an outcome signaling the strength of the 57-member state entity as a voting block inside the UN, with the Ambassador to the United Nations of Iran’s Islamic theocratic regime heralding the recognition that “Islamophobia is one of the main challenges confronting the international community.”
