In exchange for voting bloc support from the 57-member-state Organisation of Islamic Cooperation ("OIC") for India's proposal at the UN for a Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism ("CCIT"), India agreed to change the proposed definition of terrorism to reflect the OIC's emphasis on differentiating "national self-determination movements" from terrorism.
