India's Permanent Delegation to the UN has objected to the UN General Assembly's adoption of a Kuwait-sponsored resolution acknowledging the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation ("OIC") as a partner with the UN in global conflict resolution, reminding the Assembly that the 57-member-state OIC is a transnational, confessional entity with no legal standing to engage in dispute resolution within and between states.
