UN Agent Seeks Business Pressure Against Forced Labor

UN Special Rapporteur on trafficking in persons Maria Grazia Giammarinaro published a report in June calling on businesses to place pressure on their global suppliers to end forced labor practices and pushing countries to replace voluntary standards on such practices for businesses with government-backed "enhanced collaboration" mechanisms.
