NGOs Condemn Company for Migrant Detention

Japan's National Contact Point for the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises has accepted a complaint supported by activist organizations Greenpeace Indonesia and Friends of the Earth Japan calling, in part, on an energy company to perform human rights and environmental "due diligence" prior to constructing a power plant in Indonesia.
Article Criticizes EU Conflict Minerals Agreement

A blog post published by nongovernmental organization Global Witness criticizes legislation agreed by the EU institutions on "conflict minerals" for not going far enough in requiring companies to publicly report their efforts to exclude all such minerals from their products.
