Workshop Pushes for Strong CoE Guidelines on BHR

A recent workshop hosted by the Danish Institute for Human Rights gathered representatives from governments, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), businesses, and other institutions to generate proposals for a wide-ranging business and human rights (BHR) recommendation at a high-level seminar to be hosted by the Council of Europe (CoE) in June.

UN Focuses BHR Forum on Access to Remedies

The Secretariat of the UN Forum on Business and Human Rights (BHR) has announced that the central theme for its November 2017 meetings will be “Realizing Access to Remedy,” where stakeholders will discuss how to improve the availability and efficacy of grievance mechanisms used to remedy alleged BHR violations by transnational companies.
