NGO Criticizes US for Pharmaceutical Patent Protection

The nongovernmental organization Oxfam has criticized US and EU officials for hindering UN action on provisions of a report from the international organization's High Level Panel on Access to Medicines seeking to "override patent protections" and require transparency at pharmaceutical companies to lower the price of medicines.
