Business and Human Rights: Mapping International Standards of Responsibility and Accountability for Corporate Acts
Category: Global Regulation
This 2007 report was delivered to the Human Rights Council in February 2007 pursuant to the mandate of the SRSG on Business and Human Rights. The mandate asks the SRSG to “identify and clarify,” to “research” and “elaborate upon,” and to “compile” materials – in short, to provide a comprehensive mapping of current international standards and practices regarding business and human rights. Resolution 2005/69 also invites him to submit his “views and recommendations” for consideration by the Council. This report is devoted to the first task: mapping evolving standards, practices, gaps and trends. To access a copy of this report, please click here.
