AI Seeks Comprehensive Reporting Under Arms Treaty

Amnesty International ("AI") has expressed alarm at proposals by the Conference of States Parties under the recently adopted Arms Trade Treaty to limit reporting of arms transfer information and has called for adoption of "comprehensive and transparent reporting requirements" for countries subject to the treaty.

UN, NGO Test Tool on Textbook Prejudice

The UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization ("UNESCO") and King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue are convening a group of education experts to test a tool they say will assist educators in writing textbooks that are "free of stereotypes and prejudices about culture, religion and gender."
