UNESCO Body Introduces Oceans "Roadmap"

At a side event during the recent UN climate summit in Marrakesh, Morocco, UNESCO's Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission's presented its Strategic Action Roadmap on Oceans and Climate for the next five years, in part to support the provision of "climate finance" to ocean projects to reduce the impacts of global warming.

Warsaw Summit Explores Global Standards on NHRIs

The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the Council of Europe, and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights recently hosted a meeting in Warsaw on best practices in implementing standards on the independence of national human rights institutions (NHRIs) to further the global human rights agenda.
