OECD Calls for Interventionist Lay-off Policies

A report from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has called on New Zealand to expand its intervention into corporate lay-off policies by imposing a "minimum statutory notice period" upon companies wishing to lay off workers and by increasing "income support" to such workers as part of the country's social safety net.
