New Resolution Promoted Global Universal Health Coverage

In an action supported by the World Health Organization, The global Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) has adopted a Resolution on achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by 2030, which calls on parliaments and parliamentarians to “take all possible measures to achieve UHC," and stresses the need for robust legal frameworks and the need to allocate adequate resources.

UN Convenes Global Investors for Sustainable Development

To address what UN Secretary-General António Guterres describes as "widening inequality, increased devastation from conflicts and disasters and a rapidly warming Earth," Global Investors for Sustainable Development, which includes thirty influential leaders from the corporate world, will work together over the next two years in a bid to free up trillions of dollars from the private sector to finance the Sustainable Development Goals.
