NGO Calls on Europe to Fulfill Migrant Quotas

The nongovernmental organization Amnesty International has called on EU countries to fulfill their quotas for accepting migrants currently awaiting relocation in Italy and Greece under the EU’s policy of mandatory migrant resettlement, as only one EU member has fulfilled its quota as the two-year plan expires.

Former Judge: ECJ Can Strike down Brexit Deal

The Daily Express reports that Sir Konrad Schiemann, former UK Judge on the Court of Justice of the EU (ECJ), has testified before the UK Parliament's Brexit Committee that the ECJ could reject a Brexit deal agreed between Britain and the EU, particularly one that bypasses the ECJ in resolving UK-EU legal disputes.

CoE Calls for Constraints on Migrant Age Assessments

The Council of Europe (CoE) has published a review of migrant age assessments in the body's member states, calling on governments always to apply any "margin of error" in such assessments in favor of the migrant, to avoid any "invasive methods" to determine the person's age, and to always obtain the subject's consent before the assessment.
