Oxfam Economist Letter Calls for G-7 Tax Haven Action

In the lead-up to a recent meeting in Japan of leaders from the "Group of 7" countries, nongovernmental organization Oxfam released a letter signed by 47 Japanese economists calling for G-7 representatives to counter businesses' use of "tax havens," which the letter asserts "are distorting the working of the global economy."

GRI Creates Digital Reporting Platform

Seeking to provide an integrated system through which researchers can analyze the reporting of companies on their implementation of the UN's social and environmental goals, the Global Reporting Initiative has launched an initiative called the Digital Reporting Alliance that will form a platform for companies to file digital "sustainability" reports.
