International Organizations Advance Global Governance of Taxation

As efforts to form an international tax system that limits the availability of so-called "tax havens" to businesses and individuals ramps up, the UN, International Monetary Fund, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, and World Bank Group have formed a Platform for Collaboration on Tax that will focus on global governance solutions to such taxation issues.

Oxfam Seeks More Action from Global Bodies on Taxation

The nongovernmental organization Oxfam praised the decision of various entities of global economic governance, including the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, to form a global tax platform but called for more concrete actions from the bodies to address economic inequality through corporate taxation.
