Dutch Court Rejects Lawsuit on Emissions Policies

EUobserver reports that a Dutch court has rejected a case from a local affiliate of international environmental lobby group Friends of the Earth demanding that the Netherlands produce new plans to raise air-quality standards and reduce levels of particulate matter and nitrogen dioxides in line with EU mandates.

NGOs Call on AfDB to Cease Fossil Fuel Funding

The Guardian Nigeria reports that Nigerian environmental organizations are calling on the African Development Bank (AfDB) to follow the example of the World Bank in announcing that it will cease funding for fossil fuel projects in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fulfill the commitments of the UN's Paris climate accord.
