WEF Launches Project on “Transformation” of Civil Society Sector

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has announced that it is launching a project seeking to prepare civil society groups for the “transformation” caused by what it calls the “Fourth Industrial Revolution” by drawing their attention to such issues as “responsible digital transformation for social impact” and “group data and human rights.”

The human rights activist group Sherpa has published a reference guide for companies and “stakeholders” calling on companies to respond to a new “duty of vigilance” imposed by French law with “exhaustive and sincere vigilance plans” explaining how they will address their negative social and environmental impacts.
